Example of 30 min consult - Case Study
M is a female in her 40’s. She suffers from Degenerative Disc Disease, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. As a young adult, she slipped a disc and the back problems have continued to deteriorate over the past 20 years. M’s two pregnancies further exacerbated the back pain. Previously she was medicating the back pain with opiate pain killers; she is looking to transition to marijuana as a healthier choice.
Since she is also coming with PTSD, anxiety, and depression, she also comes with the prescriptions that treat those disorders. Maybe we can relieve some of those symptoms using marijuana.
M will need:
- Sativa for cerebral symptoms - ADHD, PTSD, anxiety
- Terpenes of lemon, citrus, pine
- Colors in the strain name - yellow, orange, green
- Indica for bodily symptoms- pain relief, digestion, depression
- Terpenes of lavender, lilac, peppercorns
- Colors in the strain name - blue, pink, purple
These factors give me a direction to go in once I open the dispensary menu. Some dispensaries’ menus can be massive just because of the amount of choices. In Connecticut the menus are overwhelming. The above case study is an example of how I develop my guide when purchasing from a dispensary. There are many other factors involved in choosing your product; the guide is only one part of the process.
